Having a decent Vac to get into the Fire Pot, makes easy cleaning. You should ideally, never leave pellets in the fire pot.
There are a few brands out there like Green Mountain Grill Prime Daniel Boone and Jim Bowie that have a port hole for the firepot. This means you don’t have to pull out the grill, heat field etc.. to get to the firepot.

But a decent portable wet/dry shop vac is the way to go.
Now, this little vac was designed for pellets and ash – so it fits the bill perfectly.
500W / 4 Amp, it’s got a really powerful suction.
The filter/bag can be emptied, so no need to buy accessories with this.
Hose down the filter, let it dry and it’s good to go.
